God definitely had his hand in my first novel, Love Ordained. At first, I was just so proud of myself for finishing it. Immediately, two friends who read it said to me, “This could be a series.” I waved them off, not wanting to think that far ahead. “Let’s get this one published first,” I thought. So when I started talking to Winged Publications about publishing my book, and they said could this be a series, I immediately said yes, and the wheels started turning.
I finished Love Ordained in March 2020, and although I started seeking an agent or publisher for it right away, the editing process continued on and off. As most writers know, it’s hard to stop editing. Anyway, when you read the book you will see that a big part of it is about hearing the voice of God. Then in September 2020, my Tuesday night Bible Study started a new series, “Discerning the Voice of God,” by Priscilla Schirer. I knew God was at work here, and in this book. During this study, although I didn’t share the fact that I had written a book with my amazing Bible Study ladies, I kept telling them, “I just know God has more for me.” It was all around this time that I received interest in publishing this book. God is so good and I can’t wait to see what else he has in store.
